IIFP–Qitmeer 3-Day Islamic Finance Capacity Building Workshop at the University of Lagos
IIFP Nigeria in conjunction with Qitmeer Consulting from Dubai, UAE held a 3-day Capacity Building Workshop on Islamic Finance titled “Empowering Future Islamic Finance Professionals” at Islamic Centre, University of Lagos, Akoka Campus, Lagos.
The main objective was to introduce Islamic Finance to scholars from the Arabic Institutions across Lagos since they are custodians of Shari’ah. Individuals from all walks of life especially from the Non-Interest Financial Institutions also attended the event which recorded 85 delegates.

Above is pictorial news of the 2025 Induction Ceremony of the IIFP at Yusuf Grillo Multipurpose Hall of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos where 64 new Professionals were inducted as full members of the foremost Institute on Islamic Finance in Nigeria, IIFP. 35 members were inducted as Fellows while 29 members were inducted as Associates.
Imam (Dr) Abdullah Shuaib, CEO, Lead Consultants & AS Associates was the Guest Lecturer who delivered a lecture titled: Ethics of Shari’ah Compliance in Islamic Finance: Balancing Profits and Professionalism.
The President, Professor Tajudeen Olalekan Yusuf who administered the oath to the inductees reeled out some of their role, challenges and gaps in the Islamic Finance Industry and how they could be overcomed.
